For YOUR Portrait
Session
Where are we going to shoot?
I do most of my photography "on location" rather than in a
studio setting. One of
my favorite types of portrait is the documentary or environmental
portrait: a portrait
that shows the living or working environment of the subject, and tells the
viewer
something about them. I feel that posing people and children is stressful
on the
kids and family. Outdoor photography on location is where I like to shoot
my photo
shoots. Please feel free to offer any suggestions of where you would want
your photos

There are many beautiful locations around the Woodstock, North
Georgia area, or we can use your
home or yard. Think about having your portrait taken at your favorite
locations or places
that are important to you and your family. Planning your family
portrait session as part
of an activity, such as going to the zoo, beach, farmers' market, or the
big game can
add a theme and spontaneity that will help make some very special
photographs.
What should you wear?
Wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing. Traditional
advice is to wear darker
solids, and to avoid busy patterns, logos and writing. These goes for
shoes also, or simply go barefoot.
Wear dark socks so that they don't stick out. In general I would
suggest avoiding solid white
clothing. Bright objects grab the viewer's attention, so we would
like the face to be one of
the brightest parts of the portrait. If you really want to wear
white, we'll need to plan for it
in advance. Following this advice helps create a photograph that
won't go out of style.
If you still can't figure out what to wear consider whom the viewers will
be, and put on
what you would wear if they were coming over for dinner. Feel free to
call or email and ask
my advice; I'd be glad to help with clothing selections. If we will
be shooting in a location
that permits you to change clothing, bring additional outfits.
What should you bring?
Bring additional outfits, combs, hairbrushes, and make up if you
wear it. A washcloth or
wet-naps and maybe something to drink or snack on can come in handy with
children.
We don't want the image to get cluttered, but a couple of your favorite
personal items such as musical
instruments, family heirlooms, sports equipment, toys, even cars or pets
can add interest
to your portrait.
What is the plan in case of bad weather?
You never know here in Georgia… Assuming that the weather isn't
dangerous, I'm all for
continuing the shoot. Or if the weather is really bad, I'll be happy
to reschedule.
What if my child is ill and we can't make the
appointment?
I would be more than happy to reschedule your appointment, but please try
and call
as soon as possible before the appointment. We all know things can happen,
and I am more
than willing to work with you and your family.
Posing and picture taking?
As you all know, children can be quite fussy during photo-shoots, I am very
patient and willing
to work around children's moods. Posing children is totally up to the
parent, When shooting a
session, I ask the parent to pose the child in whatever pose they think
they would enjoy. I do
not handle any of the children posing that is the adults responsibility to
handle their children. I
will help guide them in the best group photo pose as possible.
The parents do posing of the children in either
situation.
I ask all parents at the time of making the appointment if a child is under
the age of one, and if so if
they are able to sit on their own without the parents help for the
photo-shoot. If a child cannot sit on
their own they are to take photos with the parents or sit in a special
chair that I bring with me for
support. Please be advised that I need to know this info before the
photo-shoot to be better prepared.
What is due at
the time of the photo-shoot?
All that is due at the time of the photo-shoot is the sitting fee, which is
$40.00. After your photo-shoot,
I will post your photos online in the portfolio for your viewing so that you
can choose which photos you
want printed. Then you can call or email me with what you want for your
order. You must pay ˝ of the total for portraits at the time of printing. I
accept Paypal, Money Order, Cashier Check, or Cash. Please call me for a
total on your purchase order before you come pick up the photos, so you are
aware of the remainder of the amount due. You will get a receipt, along with a letterhead receipt for
purchase.
What if I am not happy with the photo-shoot?
I would be more than happy to redo the photo-shoot with no extra cost of
the sitting fee. If a photo
shoot is redone, orders on the original photo-shoot cannot be purchased,
the first sitting was null and
void. I can work around your schedule to redo the photo-shoot at
your convenience.
How many people can I have in a photo-shoot?
I shoot as many as you need, but if there is a photo-shoot of over 10
people at a time, I will add $5.00 to
the sitting fee, and will need to pick a location big enough to fit the
amount of people in the sitting.
Can you print Black and White photos?
Yes, I can turn any favorite portrait into black and white for printing, I
also do Sepia tone for that old
fashion look as well, slight addition cost for either choice.
Do you do WEDDING photos?
Yes, I do wedding photos! While wedding photography is very stressful and
time consuming, the Memories in the Making are worth the effort!
Do you do Nude Photography?
YES I do nude photography, but not every kind. One kind of skin photos I
will take is a pregnant
mom taking a photo of her pregnant belly, but will have to sign a release
form in order to do so. I will also take “Boudoir” pictures for you
to share with your loved one, also with a signed release form.
How long does it take to have photos ready?
My turn-around for photos is pretty quick. After a photo-shoot, I have
photos up on the site for viewing
that night, unless I specify differently. You view, and put in an order,
and I can have the photos printed, in hand, as early as the following week! If you need photos quick, we can work around that too. There is
nothing worse than waiting for photos to be done!
Teen Portraits?
For senior class photos, prom photos and more, all teens need to have an
adult with them at all times
during the photo-shoot! Portraits will not be taken unless a parent or
guardian is present.
Do you do photo editing to take out flaws?
Yes I am also specialized in graphic arts, I can restore photos, take out
flaws and blemishes in photos
before printing. This is done at the time of editing; no addition cost is
added for this feature IF the photos are from your photo-shoot!
How far do you travel for photo-shoots?
The furthest I will drive for a photo-shoot is an hour, anything outside
that I add $10.00 to the $40.00 sitting
fee for travel costs. Picking photos up is up to the customer, or I can
send them in the mail after payment is
received for easier transaction. I will travel outside the state, as long
as other arrangements and costs are taken care of, call me for more details... Call me if you have

My Goal
My goal in my photography business is to capture your most
precious
whether it's children, parents, couples, teens, seniors,
grandparents, or even pets... whatever
means most to you. I love helping people to
create their Memories in the Making which ever
way means most to them.
My
goal is also to help families have photo's of their loved ones without
making
them go broke. I believe that the money should not be an issue
when getting
your photos taken, that is why I am considerable low in
pricing for my photos.
I can bring my studio to your home so that we can take the photos at your home, or outside to a
location that you like best,
so your family and
kids can feel comfortable in
their own surroundings. I also have
several beautiful locations that I have taken
photo-shoots at before, so e-mail
me with idea's or questions.
I know how important photos can be through life, and
that's what I am here to
do for you.. I want you to have a lot of fun
making these memories! I don't like to
pressure anyone during the photo
shoot, it's a lot of fun, and we do what we
can to make it a fun
experience for you and your family.

You can choose
whatever poses you like out of all the photos you
took in the 2 hour
sitting time to mix and match prints. Just pay for
whatever the print
price is for the pose you want.
* You can also mix and match the poses with the special's
above. Example ...
If you pick the special of 2 for $35 you can
choose 2 different poses.
P h o t o s o n D V D :
Photos on DVD Disc $50.00 for all proofs. This includes up to 60 proofs
on
DVD Disc, with a backup only costing $15.00 if
needed
You can have all the
photos you took in that sitting time on DVD to
view on your TV or on
your computer at home.
** Please be advised that photos on DVD
will have my photography signature
on the bottom of each photo for my
protection and yours.
